Privacy Policy

Read how StoreFramer Studio handles local projects, app assets, purchase status, support requests, and third-party services.

This Privacy Policy applies to StoreFramer Studio (the “App”), provided by NiuByte Studio (“we”, “us”). The App is a local-first Mac desktop tool for creating, managing, previewing, and exporting App Store screenshot artwork.

We value your privacy. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use the App and related services, how we use it, and what rights you may have.

1. Information we collect

StoreFramer Studio does not require you to create an account. Projects, screenshots, app icons, backgrounds, stickers, laurel badges, device settings, localized copy, export settings, and exported files you create or import are stored by default on your Mac.

We do not proactively collect, upload, sync, or host those local project files through our own servers.

We may process information you voluntarily provide in these situations:

  • When you contact us by email, you may provide your email address, issue descriptions, device information, system version, screenshots, or log excerpts.
  • When you purchase, subscribe to, or restore Pro features, the App may read the purchase status necessary to verify access, remove watermarks, or restore purchases.
  • When you visit this website, the hosting provider may process basic access logs such as IP address, browser type, request time, and request path. We do not use this information to build personal profiles.

2. How we use information

We use information only where reasonably necessary, including to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve StoreFramer Studio editing, preview, project management, and export features.
  • Handle support requests, troubleshoot issues, and respond to feedback or inquiries.
  • Confirm purchases, subscriptions, restored purchases, and Pro feature access.
  • Protect the App and services from abuse, fraud, or purchase-check circumvention.
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, or lawful requests.

3. Local projects, assets, and exports

Your screenshot projects and assets are primarily stored on your device. You decide whether to back up, delete, share, or upload those files.

If you upload exported image files to App Store Connect, send them to team members, or store them in third-party cloud services, that processing is governed by the relevant third party’s policies and terms.

4. Purchases, subscriptions, and the App Store

The App may offer free features, Pro features, subscriptions, or one-time purchases. Purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment information are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment details.

The App may read the transaction status provided by Apple as needed to enable Pro features, remove export watermarks, or restore purchases.

5. Third-party services

The App and website may rely on third-party services, including:

  • Apple App Store, for app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and purchase restoration.
  • GitHub Pages or another static hosting service, for hosting the website, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service pages.
  • Email services, for receiving and responding to support requests.

These third-party services process data under their own privacy policies. Please review their policies before using those services.

6. Information sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only when necessary, including:

  • To use Apple, hosting providers, email providers, or similar service providers for app distribution, purchase handling, website hosting, or customer support.
  • To comply with legal obligations, court orders, regulatory requirements, or to protect our rights, users, and the public.
  • In connection with a business transfer, merger, reorganization, or asset transfer, where permitted by law.

7. Data retention

Local projects and exported files are stored on your device, and you control how long they are retained.

Support information you voluntarily send to us is retained only as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted or anonymized unless a longer retention period is required by law.

8. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information you voluntarily provide to us. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

Because StoreFramer Studio project data is primarily stored on your device, you are responsible for device passwords, system permissions, file backups, and sharing permissions.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of information we hold about you.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the email address below. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.

10. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals. Because no common industry standard currently exists, our website does not respond separately to those signals.

11. Children’s privacy

The App is intended for developers, designers, and app teams. It is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete the relevant information where reasonably possible.

12. Policy updates

We may update this Privacy Policy as product features, legal requirements, or operations change. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised date. Material changes may also be announced through the website or in the App.

13. Contact us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or data handling, contact us at feedback.niubyte@gmail.com.
